David Hannah III on his Mikado

Photos by Rick White Before I took photos, Gary McCoy was out in Phase III cutting the brush from the sides of the rail. I failed to get his photo while working. Also, I did not get Laura Brown, Carolyn Balkum, Jon Moreland, Margaret Moreland, or Clyde Brown working in the ticket booth, greeting folks, and selling drinks and souvenirs, but they all worked hard despite my lack of photos. I have no photo of Stu Marion, but I got Art. I have a photo of Mary Lou Pasley, but not Ron Pasley, who was tour guide and otherwise occupied. We started running to carry the public at 9:50 and the public was ready at 9:40 or perhaps even earlier. I was on George Leventonís train from 9:50 (first train out) to 12:50, so the photos then were mostly people working (or not) beside the track. Then I got some photos of engineers and conductors on trains leaving the station.

Ken Smith with cutters in Phase III, he stopped working only long enough to let the train by.
Barry Tobias, Station Master, is looking powerful
Ken Smith, brush-cutter.
Mike Hales waiting for the train to pass and then going on with blowing the leaves off Phase III. This will get to be a bigger job as Fall arrives.
Barry in a more normal look, watching for what is coming at him next.
